The FINANCIAL — On June 18, American college students and their professor from Mercer University in the US state of Georgia visited the US Embassy to learn about the work of US diplomatic missions overseas.
Embassy officials explained the role and responsibilities of American diplomats, and then spoke about the importance of Georgia to the United States.
The officials highlighted the inspiring transformation that Georgia has undergone since becoming independent in the early 1990s and how the United States continues to support Georgia’s democratic and economic development, according to U.S. Department of State Georgia.
The students were completing a month-long study tour in Georgia.
