The FINANCIAL — The official distributor of South Korean LG in Georgia, American company Ameritech Holding LLC has opened its largest show-room in region on Agmashenebeli Ave. 1/1 (Digomi Exit).
This is the third show-room by Ameritech for the last 9 months, the first is LG specialized show-room on 39Vaja-Pshavela Ave. and the second Multi-Brand showroom on 5 Tamar Mepe St.
American holding Ameritech was founded in the United States and is actively working in different regions of the world, including the countries of the commonwealth in the direction of distributing different brands. LG and Ameritech have very tight partnership relations.
G.H. Son the CFO of LG Gulf and B.Y. Kim the General Manager of DA Products have arrived in Georgia for the opening ceremony.
“LG Electronics continues to enhance the global strength of the LG brand in Georgia and maximize profitable growth. In particular, LG Electronics will be focusing on achieving profitable and sustainable growth in mobile communications and digital display sectors in order to pursue its leadership in the IT industry. Currently LG mobile phones are not very well represented on Georgian market. We expect LG shares in the Georgian mobile market to be up to 30% by the year 2010,” Gyu Hwan Son, Chief Finance Officer, LG, told The FINANCIAL.
As the LG chief Finance Officer said, embracing the philosophy of Great Company, Great People, whereby only great people can create a great company, and pursuing two growth strategies involving “fast innovation” and “fast growth”. Likewise, LG seeks to secure three core capabilities: product leadership, market leadership, and people-centred leadership.

The world-famous company LG officially entered the Georgian market in September 2007. This event was marked by the visit of Ki-Wan Kim, President of the Middle East and Africa. Two show-rooms of Ameritech were opened in Tbilisi at the time.
The history of the South Korean LG is half a century long. It was founded in 1958. In 1962, it released its first fan in South Korea and today it is the acknowledged leader in producing Home Appliances.
The digital TV sets, plasma displays, mobile telephones, washing machines, fridges, air conditioners, LCD monitors, IT products, form part of the list of the production that the company produces and sells all over the world.
To enhance profitability, LG Electronics plans to achieve operational excellence by focusing on a global platform strategy, which is an effective way to maximize profits with fewer models. The company’s 2007 shipment goal was 78 million units, which is a 21% increase from 2006.
The production of LG’s premium class is distinguished as a public brand. Thanks to the liberal price policy, the consumers can purchase it at the most affordable price and also receive high-level service.
The company LG has been awarded the certificate “to the best producer of the world” for 9 years since 1997 by the American organizations – Consumers’ Rights Protection Union, by the Commission of Implementing the Engineering Novelties and the Commission of the Consumers. The company is constantly working on novelties.
