The FINANCIAL — The Saudi Aramco Supreme Council held its first meeting in Jeddah on September 17 under the chairmanship of HRH Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Second Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, Chairman of the Board of Economic Affairs and Development and Chairman of Saudi Aramco Supreme Council.
The meeting was attended by the members of the Council: HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, HE Ali I. Al Naimi, HE Dr. Ibrahim A. Al Assaf, HE Abdullah A. Al Haseen, HE Adel M. Al Fakeih, HE Essam S. Bin Saeed, HE Muhammad I. Al Suweel, HE Khalid A. Al Falih, and HE Fahad A. Al Mubarak. The meeting was also attended by Dr. Musaed M. Al Aiban and Dr. Muhammad A. Al Shaikh, according to Saudi Aramco.
The meeting featured a presentation on Saudi Aramco and its role in supporting the Kingdom’s sustainable development. It also included an expose on Saudi Aramco’s Accelerated Transformation Program which aims to realize the company’s aspiration to be an integrated energy and petrochemicals enterprise and the Company’s role in supporting the Kingdom’s sustainable development through this program.
The Council made a number of decisions, including:
The appointment of Amin H. Nasser as President of Saudi Aramco
The endorsement of a five-year business plan (2015-2019) including the related capital program.
The appointment of independent auditors for the company and its subsidiaries and determining their remuneration for 2015.
The approval of the Company’s 2014 balance sheet and the profit and loss account (the Consolidated Financial Statements).
The approval of the 2014 Annual Report of the Board of Directors and discharging the members of the Board of Directors from liability for their management of the Company during the same year.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Chairman of the Supreme Council commended the excellent performance of the Company and its employees and expressed his pride of Saudi Aramco as a leading national company.
