The FINANCIAL — Apache Corporation (NYSE, Nasdaq: APA) on October 11 announced that Janine J. McArdle has been promoted to the new position of senior vice president – gas monetization.
"Apache's participation in two large-scale liquefied natural gas (LNG) developments – Wheatstone in Australia and Kitimat in Canada – will require the full attention of a senior executive with Janine's skills and talents to drive the projects forward," said John Crum, co-chief operating officer and president – North America.
McArdle, who has led Apache's worldwide oil and gas marketing team since its inception in 2002, will be responsible for marketing LNG and partner, government and First Nations relations. She also will lead the development teams for the Apache-operated Kitimat LNG export terminal in northwestern British Columbia.
Prior to joining Apache, McArdle served as managing director for Aquila Europe Ltd. and held executive and management positions with Aquila Energy Marketing. She was a partner in Hesse Gas and a member of the board of directors of Intercontinental Exchange, an electronic trading platform. Earlier in her career, McArdle worked in engineering and operation roles at Enron Corp. She holds a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from the University of Nebraska and a master's of business administration from the University of Houston.
