The FINANCIAL — ATHENS, A number of shops and car dealers were targeted by arsonists at the weekend in the Greek capital, Athens, police reported.
The six arson attacks, which damaged at least two shops and several cars, occurred in a number of places across the city over a 24-hour period.
Three vehicles at a Skoda showroom were completely destroyed by the arsonists, who have carried out a wave of attacks on international organizations since December 2008, when the country's worst riots were sparked after local police shot dead a Greek teenager.
Skoda provides the Greek police with vehicles.
No one has claimed responsibility for the fire bombings and police have yet to make any arrests.
