The FINANCIAL — As of November 19, 2010, Ukraine harvested grains and leguminous plants (with maize sowings) throughout the areas of 14.5 mln ha (99.4% from the forecasted areas), and produced 41.3 mln tonnes of of grains in bunker weight with the average yield of 28.4 c/ha (last year – 30.7 c/ha), according to the announcement of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine.
Agrarians harvested maize grain throughout the areas of 2.59 mln ha (98% from the forecast), and produced 11.9 mln tonnes of grains with the average yield of 45.9 c/ha (50.2 c/ha in 2009).
Ukrainian agrarians harvested 7.15 mln tonnes of sunflower seed throughout the areas of 4.4 mln ha (100% of the forecast), with the average yield of 16.1 c/ha (15.8 c/ha last year).
Ukraine harvested soybean throughout the areas of 1.03 mln ha (99% from the forecast), an increase of 420 thsd ha compared to the previous year. As of the reporting date, agrarians produced 1.7 mln tonnes of the oilseed with the average yield of 16.1 c/ha (16.4 c/ha last year).
As a reminder, according to the clarified data from regions, as of November 4, 2010, all categories of agricultural enterprises in Ukraine produced grains and leguminous plants in clean weight at the level of 39.6 mln tonnes, including 17.2 mln tonnes of wheat, 8.7 mln tonnes of barley, 496 thsd tonnes of rye, 489 thsd tonnes of oats, 477 thsd tonnes of peas, 11.6 mln tonnes of maize, 148 thsd tonnes of buckwheat, 118 thsd tonnes of millet.
