The FINANCIAL — Ashridge has launched a partnership with Mt Eliza Executive Education, part of Melbourne Business School, University of Melbourne, to provide virtual learning modules to clients and customers of the Australian school.
Through the Ashridge Virtual Learning Resource Centre (VLRC), Mt Eliza is able to offer online learning as part of a blended learning solution incorporating traditional face-to-face teaching, coaching and mentoring.
The VLRC delivers leadership development materials in the form of online learning guides on key topics including strategic awareness and emotional intelligence. Each guide has practical ideas for applying what has been learned, self-assessment exercises, economic trend data and summaries of key management books.
Tony Sheehan, Director of Learning Services at Ashridge, commented: “The importance of face-to-face learning is still crucial but increasingly individuals and organisations need the freedom to learn away from the classroom. The VLRC not only allows them to choose convenient study times but also access information relevant to their own development needs and workplace.”
Prof. Paul S. Kirkbride, Associate Dean, Mt Eliza said: “This is part of the school’s move to build new capabilities and methodologies into blended learning solutions for organisations.”
