The FINANCIAL — Acording to abc.az. Within Power Transmission Enhancement Project Asian Development Bank (ADB) has estimated Azerbaijan’s power system perspectives until 2011.
The Bank informed that annual domestic electricity supply will increase by 1,000 GWh by 2011. Annual average electricity outrages will reduce by 40 times, from 8-10 times/year to 0.2 time/year by 2011. It will be observed an optimization of power generation resource use through increase of domestic hydropower production up to 200 GWh and reduction of importation energy from 650 GWh. It will be a reduction of transmission line losses by 25 GWh from 6% to 3% in 2011.
At the same time it is planned to increase transmission line capacity due to the Bank itself from 220 kV to 300 kV by 2011.
