The FINANCIAL — Astellas Pharma Inc. announced on September 7 that it will donate three high-standard ambulances on First-Aid Day (September 9) to the following local fire stations, which were selected based on the recommendation made by the Fire and Disaster Management Agency.
As part of its social contribution activities, Astellas has donated ambulances to local fire departments since 1970 in order to support local governments in providing quality ambulance services and improving the emergency care system. Among the 234 ambulances donated over 45 years, including the three to be donated this year, 55 ambulances are high-standard ones, according to Astellas Pharma.
Astellas will continue to drive its corporate activities including ambulance donations with the aim of contributing to the improvement of health care services and community health.
