The FINANCIAL — Aston University students are the joint 15th most satisfied undergraduates out of 136 UK Universities and University Colleges, according to the government’s National Student Survey.
Nine out of 10 Aston students praised the standard of their course, with the overall satisfaction level for undergraduate programmes at 90 per cent. It is the third year in a row that Aston has achieved 89 per cent overall satisfaction or higher, according to Aston University.
The NSS survey 2015 is widely recognised as a key measure of student satisfaction and results for Aston’s individual subject areas are also strong.
Translation Studies, BSC Biomedical Science, BSc Sociology, and the MOptom Optometry programmes all achieved overall satisfaction ratings of 100 per cent.

The NSS survey, compiled by Ipsos MORI gathers students’ opinions on the quality of their courses, with over 300,000 final-year students responding to the survey this year. The national UK average for student satisfaction was 86%.
Areas rated in the NSS Survey include learning resources, quality of teaching and academic support and opportunities for student personal development.
