The FINANCIAL — Aston University is in the top 200 universities worldwide for graduate employability, according to a new ranking.
The QS Graduate Employability Rankings 2018 placed Aston in the 181-190 bracket out of a total of 600 considered institutions across the world, according to Aston University.
The University also jumped 76 places for employer reputation, based on more than 30,000 responses to the QS Employer Survey which asks employers to identify which institutions from which they source ‘the most competent, innovative, effective graduates’.
The QS Graduate Employability Rankings claims to be the first attempt of its kind to globally compare the employability outcomes of higher education institutions. A fairly new ranking, it has this year doubled the number of institutions evaluated to a total of 600.
Aston prides itself on its ability to place graduates in high quality careers. Nearly 70 per cent of undergraduates carry out work placements as part of their degree programmes, and more than 82% of our graduates are in a graduate-level job or in further study within six months of graduation, according to The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2017.
