The FINANCIAL — Aston University is offering financial support and expert advice to small businesses in Birmingham and Solihull to help them to reduce their carbon footprint.
The Low Carbon SME programme will provide free support to SMEs located in the Greater Birmingham and Solihull LEP area, to reduce their energy costs, carbon footprint and enhance resource efficiency.
Energy efficiency grants of up to £12,250 are on offer to businesses willing to match it with their own funds. Companies can also sign up to a free 2-5 day diagnostic session to identify energy and process efficiency savings, according to Aston University.
Eligible businesses are invited to attend the programme launch event on Thursday 23 November, 10am–1pm. It will be held at the Connect Event Space on Level 2 of Millennium Point in Birmingham City Centre. Lunch will be provided.
The programme, part funded by the European Regional Development Fund, will also provide the opportunity to network with industry experts and highly qualified academics and show them how to take advantage of lucrative supply chain opportunities by enhancing low carbon credentials.
