The FINANCIAL — Consumer prices in Austria rose 1.0% on the year in May, fueled by housing costs, the statistics office said on June 17, according to Nasdaq.
On a European Union-harmonized basis, the consumer price index also rose 1.0% from May 2014.
Housing costs were up an average 1.4% during the month, while cheaper fuel helped to damp prices, Statistik Austria said.
Prices rose 0.3% from April, it added.
