The FINANCIAL — In August, the subsidiary companies of Avianca Holdings S.A. transported 2,578,691 passengers, an increase of 2.8% compared to August 2015.
Capacity, measured in ASKs (available seat kilometers), increased 2.8%, while passenger traffic, measured in RPKs (revenue passenger kilometers), increased 4.8%. The load factor for the month was 83.4%, an increase of 160 bps compared to the same period of 2015, according to Avianca.
Domestic markets in Colombia, Peru and Ecuador
In August, the subsidiary airlines of Avianca Holdings transported within each of these markets a total of 1,533,847 travelers, an increase of 2.2% compared to August 2015. Capacity (ASKs) increased 0.7% while passenger traffic (RPKs) increased 2.8%. The load factor for the month was 81.9%, an increase of 170 bps compared to the same period of 2015.
International markets
In August, the affiliated airlines of Avianca Holdings transported 1,044,844 passengers on international routes, up 3.6% compared to August 2015, Capacity (ASKs) increased 3.4%, while passenger traffic (RPKs) increased 5.3%. The load factor for the month was 83.8%, an increase of 160 bps when compared to the same period of 2015.
