The FINANCIAL — According to APA, delegation of Azerbaijani and Bulgarian governments held meeting in Baku on November 12, APA reports. Azerbaijani Prime Minister Artur Rasizada stated that they support intensification of mutual relations between the two countries. He said that Azerbaijan and Bulgaria can cooperate on Baku-Tbilisi-Kars project and stressed necessity of bilateral relations in energy sector.
Mr. Rasizada informed the guests on Nagorno Karabakh conflict and position of Azerbaijani government regarding this issue.
Bulgarian Prime Minister Sergey Stanishev said that there was not political problem between his country and Azerbaijan. He stressed necessity of increasing trade turnover between the two countries.
“Trade turnover between the two countries comprises $ 8-10 million today. This is very ridiculous amount. For example: our trade turnover with Turkey comprises $ 3 billion,” he said.
They signed three documents on the outcomes of the meeting about economic cooperation, protection of free competition and antimonopoly policy, as well as double tax evasion.
Bulgarian Emergences Minister and OSCE Monitoring Committee co-rapporteur on Azerbaijan, Bulgarian parliamentarian Yevgeniya Jivkova is in the composition of Bulgarian delegation.
