The FINANCIAL — According to APA-Economics, Azerbaijan’s Tariff Council will not increase energy prices this year, said the country’s ministry of economic development.
“To consider energy prices this year or next year is not on the agenda,” said the ministry.
Effective January 8, 2007, the selling price of AI-95 gasoline was set at 60 kopecks, AI-92 and AI-80 55 kopecks, diesel fuel, heating oil and kerosene were 45 kopecks.
The Council put the price of 4.1 kopecks on wholesale electricity per kilowatt, 0.2 kopecks on transit. The wholesale price of electricity generated in privately-owned hydroelectric power stations was set at 2.5 kopecks per kilowatt, in wind power plant at 4.5 kopecks. The unified charge for electricity was set at 6 kopecks (including VAT).
The Council didn’t change the price of gas consumed by people (AZN 47.2 per 1,000 cubic meters). The price for business consumers remained unchanged at AZN 100.
