The FINANCIAL — Bank of America announces that Heidi Parkhurst has been named Iowa market president, serving as the company’s enterprise leader for the state.
In this role, Parkhurst will work across the state to connect Bank of America’s business lines to deliver integrated financial services to individuals, families and businesses. She will also lead Bank of America’s corporate social responsibility work in the market, which leverages the capabilities of the company to help partners, people, communities and a broad client and customer base more effectively address a wide range of issues, according to Bank of America.
“Heidi’s knowledge of the Quad Cities region and leadership as market president will ensure we’re helping make our customers and clients’ financial lives better, through the power of every connection we can make with them,” said Brian Moynihan, chief executive officer, Bank of America.
Parkhurst brings outstanding leadership credentials to the market president role. She has a remarkable leadership track record at Merrill Lynch, serving clients for 20 years and as a resident director for 15 years. Currently, she is a senior vice president of Wealth Management and senior resident director for Merrill Lynch Quad Cities. Regionally, she serves as field champion for diversity and inclusion for Global Wealth and Investment Management.
A University of Iowa graduate and an active community leader, Parkhurst has long-standing ties to the market. She serves as board chairperson for Unity Point Trinity Hospital Foundation and vice president for the Women’s Connection. Additionally, she is a board member for Iowa Women’s Lead Change and volunteers with numerous other community-based projects including HAVlife.org.
