The FINANCIAL — The French economy will continue to grow in the second quarter, although at a slower pace than the start of the year, a survey by the country’s central bank showed on June 8, according to Nasdaq.
The eurozone’s second-largest economy will expand 0.3% in the second quarter from the first, based on the results of the Bank of France’s May survey of business sentiment. France’s gross domestic product jumped 0.6% on quarter in the first three months of the year.
In May, the Bank of France’s measure of business sentiment in manufacturing edged up to a reading of 99 from 98. In services, the indicator remained at 95 and in construction it rose to 93 from 92 in April.
