The FINANCIAL — Bank of Georgia, one of the leading Georgian banks, has awarded students in possession of their Student Card.
The students owning plastic cards were nominated in several categories: The “Most Active Student”, who made transactions most frequently; “Most Generous”, who spent the largest volume of money; and “Most Provident”, who kept the largest amount of money reserved on their card. All twenty students will receive a special cash prize to the amount of 100 GEL over three months from Bank of Georgia.
In 2009 the Bank twice awarded twenty students who were owners of their Student Card. All forty students received a special monetary gift from Bank of Georgia.
Bank of Georgia first launched the Student Card in March 2009. It is a joint project of Bank of Georgia, the Municipality of Tbilisi, LTD Metropolitan of Tbilisi, LTD Tbilisi’s Bus and the Ministry of Science and Education of Georgia.
The Student Card is a Visa Electronic type plastic card with a term of one year and noncontact applications. Owners of a Student Card are able to make any banking transaction. The Student Card launched by Bank of Georgia is the only way to get offers for special discounts when travelling by bus or subway, stated by the Municipality of Tbilisi. The Student Card gives the opportunity to its customers to pay transport fees via simplified methods, with noncontact form.
The total sum of the prize money awarded by Bank of Georgia to the owners of its Student Card has already reached 18,000 GEL.
