Barclays appoints new Manufacturing Head for Corporate Banking

The FINANCIAL — Barclays has appointed Helena Sans as the new Head of Manufacturing, Transport and Logistics for its Corporate Banking business.

Helena joins the MTL team from the Barclays Retail & Wholesale Corporate Banking team where, as an industry director, she relationship-managed medium and large businesses for the past two and a half years, providing specialist banking services to UK retailers and wholesalers as part of the leadership team. Helena has more than 20 years corporate banking experience, with over 10 years spent in various specialist debt financing roles, covering small and mid-cap corporate and leverage business up to large corporate clients and public limited companies. During this time, she worked across both the Corporate and the Investment Bank.

Helena replaces Mike Rigby who, after six years as the face of Manufacturing for Barclays, has taken up a new role as Head of Business Services within Barclays Corporate Banking. In his new position, Mike will lead a team providing lending and relationship banking support to facilities management, business process outsourcing (BPO), recruitment, and payment services businesses, according to Barclays.
