The FINANCIAL — Barclays announces that Mr Tristram Roberts has been appointed as Group HR Director with immediate effect.
Mr Roberts was previously HR Director of Barclays’ Investment Bank, and he has served as interim Group HR Director since October 2015. He will report to Group Chief Executive Jes Staley and be a member of the Group Executive Committee, according to Barclays.
Previously a partner at Deloitte and KPMG, Mr Roberts joined Barclays from HSBC in 2013.
Commenting on the appointment, Barclays Group Chief Executive Jes Staley said:
“Tristram has served as interim Group HR Director since October this year and has already proved a highly effective member of the Group Executive Committee and leader for the HR function. Tristram was the outstanding candidate in our search process, which looked both inside and outside the bank, and I am particularly delighted to be promoting our own talent into this key role. I look forward to working closely with him going forward.”
