The FINANCIAL — The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) has earned a perfect score on the Human Rights Campaign’s Corporate Equality Index for the ninth time. The scorecard is a national benchmarking survey that evaluates corporate policies and practices related to LGBT workplace equality.
The CEI ranks large U.S. companies on their workplace policies, including nondiscrimination policies, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health benefits, and others. HRC evaluated more than 1,000 U.S. workplaces and named 391 companies to the list.
“We are honored once again to earn top marks on the Corporate Equality Index,” said Tom Reichert, BCG’s chairman of North America. “Since our firm’s inception more than 50 years ago, we have been working hard to create a diverse and inclusive culture. Diversity helps us to bring the most innovative and impactful solutions to our clients.”
BCG has a long history of inclusive policies and was one of the first management consulting firms to offer U.S. employees reimbursement for federal taxes levied on health benefits for same-sex domestic partners. Earlier this month, the firm was ranked fifth on Fortune’s inaugural 50 Best Workplaces for Diversity list. BCG has ranked in the top 12 of Fortune’s 100 Best Companies to Work For every year since 2006 and currently holds the number two spot on the list.
