The FINANCIAL — According to operative data as of August 26, agricultural organizations of Belarus continued harvesting late grains and rapeseed. The harvested volumes reached 8.603 mln tonnes of grains, declared the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Belarus.
In particular, agrarians harvested buckwheat throughout 2.69 thsd ha (21.7% of the planned areas), and produced 3.1 thsd tonnes of the grain, with the average yield of 1.15 t/ha. Belarus harvested 3.83 thsd tonnes of millet throughout 1.89 thsd ha (35.9%). The average yield totaled 2.03 t/ha.
Belarus harvested winter and spring rapeseed throughout 188.8 thsd ha (74.9%). The harvested volumes totaled 392.3 thsd tonnes, with the average yield of 2.08 t/ha. As a reminder, on the same date last year Belarus harvested 835.7 thsd tonnes of rapeseed throughout 371.2 thsd ha (93%), with the average yield of 2.25 t/ha, according to APK Inform.
To date, agricultural organizations plan to plant winter rapeseed for the harvest-2016 throughout 410 thsd ha. Agrarians already planted the oilseed throughout 186.3 thsd ha (47.8%).
