The FINANCIAL — According to RIA Novosti, both pilots of a Belarusian Su-27 Flanker fighter jet that crashed on August 30 at an air show in central Poland are believed dead, Polish media reported.
The Belarusian Air Force jet was performing aerobatic maneuvers as part of the Radom Air Show. Polish TV channels showed the jet performing a stunt before disappearing behind trees.
The TVN24 channel said no official information has yet been released on the fate of the pilots.
RIA Novosti has so far been unable to obtain comments from the Belarusian Defense Ministry.
Two weeks ago during preparations for the MAKS-2009 air show outside Moscow, two Su-27 planes collided, killing one of the pilots.
