The FINANCIAL — On May 20, 2010, in TBC Bank’s exhibition hall, the Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry arranged an event dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as the ceremony of awarding the winners of the competition among small and medium sized enterprises and individual entrepreneurs.
The Ministry of Economic Development of Georgia and the Georgian National Investment Agency were among the co-organizers of the competition.
The Competition Commission set up under the Chamber summarized the competition’s results and determined the winners. The winners and laureates of the competition were awarded with special prizes and diplomas. The winners were awarded by: the Minister of Economic Development of Georgia Zurab Pololikashvili, the Minister of Agriculture of Georgia Bakur Kvezereli, the Director of the Georgian National Investment Agency Irakli Matkava, the Sate Minister for Diaspora Issues Papuna Davitaia.

The Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry awarded Alaverdi Monastery’s husbandry with a special pennon and diploma for restoration of traditional farming branches and a highly aesthetic level of production.
One of the main tasks of the Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry is protection of Georgian entrepreneurs’ interests both inside the country and abroad.
Outside our country this function is fulfilled by the Chamber’s permanent representatives appointed in 12 countries. Starting from today, their number increased by 4 persons.
In the course of the event the State Minister Papuna Davitaia presented to the audience the representatives of the Georgian diaspora appointed as permanent representatives of the Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the following countries.
David Bakhtadze – a permanent representative of the Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Cyprus;
Nodar Giorgadze – a permanent representative of the Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Slovakia.
Vazha Kiknavelidze – a permanent representative of the Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Czechia.
Gulnara Managadze – a permanent representative of the Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Flanders (Belgium)
