The FINANCIAL — BNP Paribas Wealth Management carried off two prestigious awards at the 2012 Global Private Banking Awards organised by The Banker magazine in conjunction with Professional Wealth Management magazine.
At a ceremony in Singapore on 8 November, BNP Paribas Wealth Management was honoured as: N°1 Private Bank in France. N°1 Private Bank worldwide for Philanthropy services.
The Banker and Professional Wealth Management magazines, part of the Financial Times group, have handed out for the fourth year these Global Private Banking Awards. As BNP Paribas announced, the Awards Jury was composed of eight sector experts from the United States, Europe and Asia, a geographical coverage which closely reflects BNP Paribas Wealth Management's own international scope.
The rankings were determined by measuring the success of the growth strategies of the top Private Banking and Wealth Management providers during 2011, also taking into account how successfully they had adapted their offerings and the quality of their client relations at a time of rapid change in client needs and expectations.
BNP Paribas Wealth Management co-CEOs Vincent Lecomte and Sofia Merlo expressed their great satisfaction on receiving these awards. Vincent Lecomte declared: “We're truly proud to receive this recognition, especially as regards the Philanthropy support services, which we began to offer clients a few years ago. Our expertise enables us to provide effective, tailored solutions at a time when more and more of our clients are becoming keen to undertake personal philanthropy initiatives.” Sofia Merlo added: “Receiving these honours underlines our position as leader in France and vindicates our unique business model. Our approach is one of total integration into the BNP Paribas Group, which enables us to combine local presence and outstanding expertise in order to meet our clients' needs for asset and wealth management.“
