The FINANCIAL — Rotterdam, Netherlands, 2012, BPC Banking Technologies, the leading provider of Open System e-payment solutions for the global financial industry, welcomed representatives from local financial institutions to a seminar under the banner “SmartVista: Transforming the Card Payments Infrastructure” in Tbilisi, Georgia on April, 19, 2012.
During the seminar delegates learned about the SmartVista suite, e/m-Commerce solutions as well as BPC’s operational and support strategy.
Senior bankers from Georgian banks were in attendance and heard a number of presentations delivered by BPC executives covering all aspects of the SmartVista e-payments suite. In particular, Michael Rakov, Deputy CEO BPC Ukraine described the integrated solution for internet and mobile banking, Smart@Bank and gave the participants an overview of the Company’s customer support policy and regional office management.
Alfa-Bank, one of BPC’s premier tier 1 clients, presented a case study in effective fraud management with BPC’s SmartGuard fraud prevention solution. The presentation provoked great interest amongst attendees recognizing effective fraud prevention is a priority across the financial services industry. BPC representatives also provided further information on the success of SmartGuard with other clients in Ukraine and Russia worldwide.
BPC’s representatives gave examples of multiplication smartcards and delegates were eager to explore opportunities in Georgia for integrating payment and civil services on multi application smart cards. Of equal interest to attendees was BPC’s delivery of expanded services through ATMs. Branch banking is costly and enhanced ATM services are able to fulfill many of the day to day banking requirements for clients on a more economic basis.
“It was a great pleasure to welcome Georgian banks to the seminar and to listen to the active debate about ways and means of enhancing payment services to clients. BPC’s SmartVista suite is an ideal solution for the region, covering as it does all aspects of payments processing and we are looking forward to working with local banks over the coming months”, noted Vasily Grigoriev, CEO BPC Banking Technologies.
