The FINANCIAL — Second year in row British American Tobacco Georgia received 2 outstanding Golden Brand Awards of Best CSR Company (Education) and Best Employer.
British American Tobacco Georgia submitted report on basic activities of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in 2014 such as cloth and toy donations at orphanage houses, computer class opening, participations in different charity sports activities, hosting lunches for elderly people, tree planting and environmental projects as well as other small and medium projects, also International Business Case Competition – educational project for university students on business case solutions and presentation skills. But the basic trigger for getting award in CSR (Education) was Scholarship Project for internally displaces family students under which 13 Master level students were funded. The project was accomplished through close partnership of the Government and Private Sector: Minister of Finance, Minister of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Advisor of Minister of Science and Education, Presidents of Business Associations.
British American Tobacco Georgia has also provided brief statistics on work and employment environment, reports on job fair participation, information on trainings and staff development, etc. which guided to Best Employer Award.Â
Winning on the Golden Brand Award ceremony two times in a row is important for the company because the event has high awareness and trust towards the nominations is very high in society and public sector as well as in business and private stakeholders.
