The FINANCIAL — The National Grain and Feed Service of Bulgaria published its updated estimations of the country’s exports and stocks of basic grains and oilseeds in Bulgaria as of April 1 of the current year.
In particular, as of the reporting date grain and oilseed stocks in the country totaled 3.18 mln tonnes (down 0.54 mln tonnes per month), an increase of 44% compared with the index on April 1, 2014, according to APK-Inform.
Since the beginning of the season, and as of April 1, the Bulgarian wheat exports totaled 2.6 mln tonnes, down 22% compared with the previous year indices. The remaining export potential of wheat in Bulgaria by the end of the season totals 0.8 mln tonnes.
The export volumes of corn totaled 1.73 mln tonnes, and the remaining export potential is estimated at 0.5 mln tonnes.
According to the Service, the supplies of barley on foreign markets reached 0.53 mln tonnes, and completely covered the available export potential.
Also, as of April 1, Bulgaria shipped 0.65 mln tonnes of sunflower seed. According to the National Service, in the current season the remaining export potential totals 110 thsd tonnes of the oilseed.
