The FINANCIAL — Austrian company Tieber GmbH has added a very special Setra coach to its fleet of vehicles in the guise of its first S 516 HDH model. It is also the first vehicle from the new TopClass 500 series to be delivered in Austria. For company owner Peter Tieber is was an easy choice. But while not wasting any time in sealing the perfect deal with his signature, he did not do so without due consideration: "The TopClass 500 ties in perfectly with our company philosophy", according to Daimler AG.
Based on the motto "Mit Stil ans Ziel" ("Travelling in Style"), the Styrian travel company now plans to deploy the three-axle vehicle on exclusive tours throughout Europe. Shortly after the official handover of the keys in front of more than 50 invited travel industry guests at the Setra Customer Center in Neu-Ulm, the vehicle took to the road to make its maiden voyage to Strasbourg and Colmar.
The 4-star luxury coach boasts 50 ergonomic "Setra Voyage Plus" passenger seats featuring lengthened seat cushions, heated window strips, 8-channel headphone system for each seat, 3 x 19-inch monitors, a coffee machine and toilet – in short everything to make travelling throughout Europe a comfortable and enjoyable experience, according to Daimler AG. Ambient lighting also helps to provide harmonious lighting conditions in the vehicle interior when travelling at night. Peter Tieber, who had the luxury coach fitted out with all of the currently available safety systems, could barely contain his pride on taking delivery of the new showpiece vehicle: "With this coach Setra is fulfilling all of our requirements and also those of our passengers."
Based in Judenburg not far from the Austrian "Red Bull Ring" race circuit, Tieber GmbH was established in 1961 and has been managed since 1990 by Peter Tieber as sole proprietor – a man who has put a great deal of blood, sweat and tears as well as passion into each individual vehicle: "We place a great deal of value on individuality – both inside and out." The company, which carries the tagline "Reisen mit Niveau" ("high-class travel") in its company logo, specialises in luxury tours throughout Europe using a total of ten touring coaches.
With the Setra TopClass 500, the brand is presenting a new travel experience combining luxury and functionality at the highest level. Following the successful start of series production, the new flagship Setra vehicle has already been honoured with the "Red Dot Award: Product Design 2014", a globally recognised seal of quality, according to Daimler AG.
