The FINANCIAL — At least 25 people were killed and another 13 wounded after a bus in southwest China veered off a mountain road and tumbled into a valley on January 29 morning, Xinhua news agency reported.
The agency said the bus with 38 passengers on board hurtled into a valley 40 meters (130 feet) deep in the province of Guizhou. Two of the injured passengers are in a serious condition.
According to preliminary information, the accident was due to a thick layer of ice on road.
Heavy snow has killed dozens of people in China in the past few weeks, with numerous road accidents reported.
