The FINANCIAL -- Allianz has entered a cooperation and investment partnership with Berlin-based simplesurance.
The start-up and e-commerce provider now distributes Allianz insurance products in 28 European countries via customer portals like Schutzklick.de in Germany as well as some 1,500 online shops. Allianz took a minority stake in the insurtech company, according to Allianz.
„We are convinced that simplesurance is an ideal partner. Simplesurance complements the international distribution of our insurance solutions”, said Sylvie Ouziel, CEO Assistance of Allianz Worldwide Partners.
„The cooperation with an innovative startup like simplesurance supports our ambition to meet customers’ needs anywhere and at any time,“ said Solmaz Altin, Chief Digital Officer of Allianz Group, on the cooperation and investment.
Established in 2012, simplesurance has developed software that enables customers to buy products online and purchase corresponding insurance coverage in a few steps and completely paperless. Various online shops have implemented the software of simplesurance into their shop systems.
