The FINANCIAL — PLEASANTON, CA–(Marketwire – August 1, 2011) – Callidus Software Inc., the leader in Sales Performance Management (SPM), today announced the launch of Monaco Summer 2011, the latest version of its class-leading on demand SPM suite for managing the lifecycle of the sales professional to maximize sales effectiveness.
"Monaco Summer 2011 advances the market by delivering actionable sales performance: the ability to simulate, analyze, and rapidly execute sales strategies within a single system," said Lorna Heynike, Senior Vice President, Marketing, Callidus Software. "With this release, business users no longer have to guess the quotas, territories, and incentives that meet their sales targets. Customers can visualize the top line and bottom line impact of multiple sales capacity, coverage, and incentive scenarios without deploying large-scale changes in the field, and then rapidly apply the optimal strategy across the sales force. This new integrated planning and execution platform closes the loop between financial targets and sales execution, dramatically accelerating the time to deploy new go-to market plans and reducing uncertainly in rolling out new sales strategies."
"The advanced modeling capabilities will enable us to easily identify our top performers, observe the impact of our payout rates, quotas and territories on performance, as well as the costs over a period of time," said Julie Orr, Senior Manager, Competence Lead, TrueComp Information Systems, Philips Healthcare. "This will allow us to drive growth by deploying the right incentive compensation regime while giving us the predictability that we need to effectively manage our costs."
The new version of Monaco includes the new Sales Performance Modeling and Simulation module, which enables business users to rapidly model quotas, territories, and incentives in their live, production system, analyze the effects of each model against growth and effectiveness targets, and deploy changes with a single click (i.e., no separate sandbox environments, no moving configurations and data between systems). The solution also enables users to automatically generate multiple variations in model inputs so that they can optimize their go-to market strategies in dynamic market conditions.
"The SPM software market is gaining visibility with enterprises attempting to integrate and optimize functions for sales planning, operational management and analytics," said Michael Dunne, Research Vice President, Gartner, Inc. "Going forward, advanced modeling functionality will be critical to enable sales organizations to account for the implications of compensation components, territory alignments, quotas and targets within a single planning exercise and associated constraints. Similarly, firms will need to explore more carefully how to expose outputs of sales planning efforts and subsequent performance data to sales teams on an ongoing basis through standard sales automation systems, including earnings potential of opportunities and deals, territory boundaries and account locations, and progress toward meeting objectives and quota milestones."
Monaco Summer 2011 also includes Callidus' next generation Reporting & Analytics platform. The new solution delivers easy-to-use, drag-and-drop ad hoc analytics capabilities built-in with the transactional system, reducing the dependency on IT for managing separate data marts. And because the solution leverages production data for all reports and dashboards, business users gain real-time access to all sales and channel performance data, eliminating the latencies, errors, and missed opportunities that can result from separate analytics data marts.Â
