The FINANCIAL — The next TEDxOxbridge event, which aims to foster rich connections and conversations through inspiring talks and networking, is to take place at Cambridge Judge Business School on Saturday 9 June 2012.
TEDxOxbridge, which is organised in collaboration with Cambridge Judge Business School and Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, promises a great day of inspirational speakers from all walks of life, based on the theme "Unconventional Wisdom", and also offers the opportunity to network with like-minded people from Oxford, Cambridge and beyond.
Confirmed speakers include: John Bird, Founder of The Big Issue, Andrew Hanson, Founder of Men Against the Trafficking of Others, Alastair Humphreys, British Adventurer, Author and Blogger, Lord Dennis Stevenson, Serial Entrepreneur, Philanthropist and VC, Dr Armand D'Angour, Tutor in Classics at Oxford and author of The Greeks and the New.
According to Cambridge Judge Business School, TED is a non-profit organisation devoted to finding ideas worth spreading and supporting these world-changing proposals with multiple initiatives. TEDx is a programme of local self-organised events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Previous TED speakers have included Bill Gates, Sir Richard Branson and former UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown.
