The FINANCIAL — Carlson Rezidor, one of the ten largest hotel groups worldwide, announces the Park Inn by Radisson Hotel Göttingen. The property featuring 114 keys and offering 4-star standard brings Carlson Rezidor’s portfolio in Germany to 52 hotels with more than 11,000 rooms. It is scheduled to welcome the first guests in Q4 2013, according to The Rezidor Hotel Group.

The Park Inn by Radisson is a conversion of an existing hotel and will undergo a complete renovation programme. The building enjoys good accessibility – it is located along one of the main roads into Göttingen, a historic university city. The city centre is in walking distance, and the site provides direct motorway access to the A7. Besides 114 comfortable guest rooms, the fully air-conditioned property will offer an all-day-dining restaurant, a terrace and a bar; 600 square metres of meeting space including meeting-, conference- and board rooms for up to 195 guests; gym and sauna; and parking.
Göttingen is located in the south of lower Saxony, northeast of Kassel and 120 kilometres south of Hannover. Major economic drivers of the region include aviation, biotechnology and steel. In Göttingen itself the university which was founded in 1732 is the main business driver – employing about 14,300 people and hosting 25,000 students.
Park Inn by Radisson is Carlson Rezidor’s fresh and dynamic mid-market brand. Offering a hassle free, contemporary and comfortable stay, Park Inn by Radisson is currently developing new service ideas and concepts targeting the growing clientele of Gen X and Gen Y, according to The Rezidor Hotel Group.
