The FINANCIAL — The Carrefour Group announces it has signed an agreement with the Eroski Group to acquire 36 compact hypermarkets with a total sales area of 235,000 square meters, as well as 8 shopping malls and 22 gas stations adjacent to the stores.
This acquisition would allow Carrefour to grow its store network and gain a presence in 27 new cities while strengthening its position in the food segment. Carrefour is thus continuing its multi-format, omni-channel expansion for the benefit of its clients.
The acquisition of these stores is subject to conditions, including approval by the relevant antitrust authorities, according to Carrefour.
