The FINANCIAL — A specialized medical information system is currently being established and tested by doctors from Braslav and Daugavpils under a joint project on the ‘Promotion of Accessible Free of Border Primary Health Care Services in the Area of Daugavpils Rural Municipality and Braslav District’.
The 12-month project is funded by the EU within ENPI Latvia-Lithuania-Belarus Cross-Border Cooperation (CBC) Programme 2007-2013, according to EU Neighbourhood Info Centre.
The aim of the project is to improve the accessibility and quality of healthcare by improving the material and technical database and creating conditions for patients with disabilities. The database will allow to share patients’ data between doctors from Braslav and Daugavpils.
The objective of the ENPI Latvia-Lithuania-Belarus CBC Programme is to enhance the cohesion of the cross border area through reducing regional disparities and securing economic and social welfare and cultural identity of its inhabitants.
