The FINANCIAL — A ceremonial reception was held on the occasion of the opening of the representation of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Tbilisi, according to MFA of Georgia.
The newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Georgia Kim Chang-gyu thanked the invited guests for their attendance.
Georgian Vice Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili also addressed the attending audience highlighting the friendly and close partner relations between the two countries. According to Giorgi Kvirikashvili, bilateral trade has consistently increased between Georgia and the Republic of Korea over the past few years. There has been a growth in the volume of investments as well, to which attests the participation in the Korean K-water Company‘s Nenskra project. The Minister underlined the contribution the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) has made towards providing the Georgian government agencies with technical equipment, as well as towards financing the training programmes.
Musicians invited from Korea performed Korean folk songs and popular Georgian melodies during the reception.
The ceremonial reception was attended by the heads of diplomatic missions, invited guests and media representatives.
