The FINANCIAL — Chevron Corp. released earnings for third quarter that dropped compared to the same period last year, according to Nasdaq.
The company said its bottom line declined to $2.04 billion, or $1.09 per share. This was lower than $5.59 billion, or $2.95 per share, in last year’s third quarter.
Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.76 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts’ estimates typically exclude special items.
The company said revenue for the quarter fell 37.2% to $34.32 billion. This was down from $54.68 billion last year.
