Christian Bangemann heads Audi Product Communications

The FINANCIAL — Christian Bangemann (45) is the new Head of Product Communications at AUDI AG. Bangemann, who most recently worked as managing editor at the German automotive industry publication “auto motor und sport” in Stuttgart, officially took up his duties at Audi on September 1.

In his new position, he reports to Toni Melfi, Head of Communication at Audi.

Bangemann began his career in journalism in January 1993, when he joined the staff of “Boote” watersports magazine at the Delius Klasing Verlag publishing company. In 1996 he moved to “auto motor und sport,” where he first completed a one-year traineeship before moving to the Test & Technology department. In 2005 he took over management of that department. In 2009 he was named managing editor. He holds a degree in engineering from the Kiel University of Applied Sciences, where he studied mechanical engineering with an emphasis on manufacturing technology.
