The FINANCIAL — According to online magazine Civil Georgia, Patriarch of the Georgian Orthodox Church, Ilia II, said that the Church was not supporting any political party.
“An opinion is being disseminating in recent days as if the Church is supporting or patronizing some political parties. This is not true. The Georgian [Orthodox] Church protects our national and Christian values and we are doing our best to unite the nation, to unite our people,” Ilia II said.
