CRA Board Meeting & Regular City Commission Meeting
Wednesday, July 2nd
The City will be conducting a CRA and Regular City Commission meeting on Wednesday, July 2nd at City Hall, 2600 Hollywood Blvd Room 219. The CRA Board Meeting will be held at 9 a.m. with Citizens’ Comments at that time. The Regular City Commission Meeting will be held at 1 p.m. with Citizens’ Comments at 5 p.m.

Holiday Closures
In observance of the 4th of July holiday, Broward County and City administrative offices will be closed on Friday, July 4th. Online services, including payments, remain available. Check the City’s online services here.
Garbage, Recycling, Yard Waste and Bulk Waste Collections
- Collections will take place on their regular schedule.

Hollywood Parks Holiday Hours
- Driftwood Pool is open from 1 to 5 p.m. for open swim.
- All City-operated parks, Dowdy Field, Hollywood West Field, and Rotary Park (Pell Field and Whitlock Field) are open sunrise to sunset.
- Community Centers, Boggs Field, Driftwood Athletic Park, Attucks Pool, Police Athletic League and the Washington Park Athletic Fields are closed.

The City of Hollywood is seeking dedicated residents to serve on the Affordable Housing Advisory Committee (AHAC), a group that plays a key role in shaping local housing policies and helping the City meet important state requirements.
The City is looking for Hollywood residents with experience in:
- Residential homebuilding (especially affordable housing)
- Banking or mortgage lending connected to affordable housing
- Labor or construction trades (home rehab contractors, subcontractors, union members, engineers, architects, etc.)
- Providing affordable rental housing (for-profit property owners/managers using housing tax credits, State Apartment Incentive Loan program (SAIL) funding, or offering naturally affordable units to the SHIP rent limits chart)
- Members of Hollywood’s Local Planning Agency

FPL Utility Pole Replacement Underway
FPL is working to improve reliability in our area by replacing utility poles and strengthening the main power line. Work is taking place in the area bounded by Arthur Street (north), Washington Street (south), NW 62nd Avenue (west), and N 48th Avenue (east). The project is scheduled through September 2025.
Crews are doing their best to minimize noise, disruptions and any necessary outages. If an outage longer than 15 minutes is needed, FPL will notify affected customers at least five days in advance.
