The FINANCIAL — Alcatel-Lucent (Euronext Paris and NYSE: ALU) on October 5 announced the appointment of Claudia Schwers, effective October 15, 2009, as Country Senior Officer for Switzerland.
In her new role Claudia Schwers will assume overall responsibility for managing day-to-day operations, as well as taking the lead on strategic business directions for Alcatel-Lucent in Switzerland.
Claudia will report to Luis Martinez-Amago, head of Alcatel-Lucent’s activities in the CIS, Central and Southern Europe.

Claudia comes with over 20 years of experience in telecom in sales and operations. Prior to joining Alcatel-Lucent Claudia was head of Business Technology Centre at Swisslife. Prior to this position, she served as Head of Division Service Excellence at Swisscom AG. She also served as Head of Division Service Business at Swisscom Solutions AG from 2005 to 2007. Claudia has started her professional carrier in 1988 as independent consultant and further held various key managerial positions in different companies in telecom segment in Germany and Switzerland.
