The FINANCIAL — Most of the leading Georgian companies are continuing the tradition of sending out corporate gifts for Christmas and New Year.
Some companies have even increased the amount of their gift baskets and corporate gift budgets for this New Year.Â
Christmas is a season of giving, a time when we show our love to others. Christmas is the main corporate gift-giving time of the year and is an opportunity for businesses to reward hardworking staff and thank their loyal customers. Companies all around the world try to give gifts even to their competitors at Christmas. Corporate gifts are found to be used mainly as a means of enhancing corporate image and creating goodwill.
“Our company is growing year by year, so the budget of corporate gifts and their amount increases correspondingly. The number of corporate gifts will probably grow this year,” said Rusudan Kbilashvili, Wissol.
“We are emphasising quality of gifts, their visual appearance and practicality. Our corporate gift basket will include branded workbooks, pens and all the things that busy people use every day. Of course sweets will dominate among our gifts for Christmas,” Kbilashvili said.
“Giving out corporate gifts is kind of a tradition for us. We choose the presents quite carefully as they are delivered to our clients, partners and other special people. Our employees also look forward to New Year as they receive gifts from the company. This year we have already sent beautiful pots of flowers to our partners. We also had special gift baskets made up of French chocolate, wine and Christmas accessories,” said Shota Machavariani, Bank Republic.
TBC Bank, one of the leading banks in Georgia, celebrated its anniversary last week.
“Our company gifts will include organisers, calendars, sweets, Christmas cards and many more things. Before Christmas we have already given our staff our company’s brand accessories,” said Keti Maghalashvili, TBC Bank.
“We aren’t reducing our corporate gift budget this year. This year our corporate gifts will include desk and wall calendars with different paintings, workbooks and sweets,” said Nino Surguladze, Company MagtiCom.
Marriott Hotel’s corporate gifts include drinks, sweets, souvenirs and Christmas accessories.
“When creating our gift baskets we always emphasise the Christmas theme. That’s why we are trying to present our partner companies with Christmas accessories such as Santa souvenirs or toys. For this New Year we will not break with tradition and therefore will be giving out gifts as usual,” said Elene Baratashvili, Marriott.
Company Redix is also always quite active in giving out corporate gifts at Christmas and New Year. Their corporate gift baskets usually include wine, chocolates, sweets, glasses, pens and business diaries.

According to The Corporate Gifts Company, as well as staff, rewarding your best customers with Christmas corporate gifts is an effective way of maintaining a positive working relationship and can be a key way of securing future business for the year ahead. A practical, branded item that will be looked at for the year ensures that a brand is never too far away, providing a well received gift and an important marketing opportunity in one.
“Christmas corporate gifts can be given for a number of reasons. Companies can benefit from giving staff Christmas corporate gifts as it is an effective way of maintaining high morale and enhancing motivation. An employee that is rewarded for their efforts will always work harder for the company that shows they are grateful for the work they have put in, and Christmas corporate gifts are an effective way of saying thank you,” The Corporate Gifts Company notes.
