The FINANCIAL — On the initiative of Crédit Agricole S.A. and LCL, a partner of INSEP, France’s national institute of sport, Crédit Agricole signed the “Performance pact” between businesses and the French government to support 90 French top athletes, in the running for a medal in the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Rio in 2016, according to Crédit Agricole.
Crédit Agricole will support the training and professionalisation of six to eight of these French athletes. On 5 December, at a ceremony attended by the French President, François Hollande, CEO of Crédit Agricole S.A. CEO, Jean-Paul Chifflet signed the agreement between the Group and Alex Fava, a fencer who is also a management student at ESCP Europe.
