The FINANCIAL — As in the previous year, Global Custody Solutions at Credit Suisse was again voted "Best Global Custodian 2009" – ahead of notable Swiss and international global custodians – in this year's R&M Survey.
Besides being awarded the top overall score, Credit Suisse achieved first place in the "European Provider," "Asset Owner," and "Portfolio Manager" categories.
"The result is based on a client satisfaction survey of the world's pension funds, insurance companies and their portfolio managers, and is conducted by independent London-based firm R&M Consultants. This year saw around 800 institutions participate. Respondents were asked to evaluate 40 different criteria in areas such as custody and administration of securities, handling of corporate actions, securities deliveries, securities accounting, performance tracking, and client reporting," Credit Suisse reports.
According to R&M Consultants, the result confirms the high quality service and professionalism of Credit Suisse as global custodian. Besides first-class transaction processing, two key aspects lay behind the outstanding result: the fact that Credit Suisse offers comprehensive, customized client solutions, as well as competent, responsive client service.
Global Custody Solutions of Credit Suisse serves the needs of pension funds, employee pension benefit plans, insurance companies, foundations, and public-sector institutions. Global Custody offers its clients a comprehensive service package for centrally managing large, global securities portfolios, including individual reporting, with the aim of providing institutional investors in particular with a transparent and effective way of organizing the management of their securities.
