The FINANCIAL — Credit Suisse announced on July 27 that Luis Molina, Dan Raab and Oscar Bleetstein have joined the Bank's Commodities business in its Fixed Income department.
Luis Molina joins as a Managing Director and Head of Vanilla Index Trading. Dan Raab joins as a Director and Head of Commodity Strategies, and Oscar Bleetstein joins as a Director and Head of Commodity Investor Sales in the Americas. They are based in New York.
"Together, these appointments complement our trading, structuring and sales capabilities. Each has played key roles in building two of the leading commodity index franchises in the market, including both beta and enhanced index product families. They will help realize Credit Suisse's unique potential as a dominant player in commodity index products," said Adam Knight, Head of Global Commodities at Credit Suisse's Investment Banking division.
Mr Molina joins Credit Suisse from Merrill Lynch where he was a Managing Director and Global Head of Commodity Index Trading. He started the Commodity Index Trading Desk, which provided structured products around commodities to both retail and institutional clients. He graduated with a BA from Harvard University. He reports to Jerome Drouin, Managing Director and Head of Global Commodity Index Products.
Mr Raab joins from AIG Financial Products Corp., where he was a Managing Director for the Commodity Index Group and was responsible for global development of the commodity index business. He graduated with an MBA from Columbia University. He reports to Mark Harvey, Managing Director and Head of Global Commodity Structuring.
Mr Bleetstein joins from Merrill Lynch where he was Head of Commodity Investor and Commodity Index Business for the Americas. He graduated from Georgetown School of Foreign Service and received a Certificat D'Etudes Politiques (CEP) from the Institut D'Etudes Politiques de Paris. He reports to Guillaume Malle, Managing Director and Head of Commodity Sales, Americas.
