The FINANCIAL — A project for the ‘Development of Modern Border Guard Sections Infrastructure’ co-financed by the EU under the Poland-Belarus-Ukraine Cross-Border Cooperation (CBC) Programme has helped to carry out large-scale reconstruction of infrastructure on the Polish-Ukrainian border, according to EU Neighbourhood Info.
The project completed the reconstruction of 11 buildings on the Migovo border post in Lviv oblast of Ukraine, with installation of water supply and canalization networks, replacement of heating supply networks and construction of a new boiler-house, as well as buying vehicles and equipment used by border guard forces.
An opening ceremony was attended by official representatives from the Polish and Ukrainian authorities, including Colonel General Viktor Nazarenko, Head of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
The Poland-Belarus-Ukraine CBC Programme aims to provide support for cross-border development processes through increasing competitiveness of the border area, improving quality of life and people-to-people cooperation.
