The FINANCIAL — The City has developed a brand new dining concept – "Private Dining" by Giorgio Locatelli – which was unveiled on Thursday 19 February.
Designed for small-to-medium size groups hosted in this stylish central London hotel, the initiative allows guests to enjoy Locatelli's exquisite cuisine, prepared in the kitchen of Refettorio, the in-house restaurant.
Reputed as one of the City's finest Italian restaurants, Refettorio – directed by Michelin-starred Locatelli – prides itself on serving traditional, regional foods with a contemporary twist.
According to IHG, the new concept will enable Refettorio's award-winning cuisine to be enjoyed by corporate and meeting groups. Served by Refettorio staff, who will be available to answer any questions on the ingredients and preparation of the dishes, the restaurant's sommelier, Antonio Nunzet, will also be on hand to guide guests through the specially selected wines.
Commenting, Giorgio Locatelli said: "As well as serving good traditional, seasonal cuisine, our objective is to create an environment where guests can socialize and interact over food. Essentially we are aiming to make the business meeting a more convivial affair."
Paul Brackley, general manager, agreed saying: "This new collaboration with our partner Giorgio Locatelli will allow us to expand the service offered to our guests, giving them a first class tailored experience, and build on the success of Refettorio restaurant. We are looking forward to welcoming guests to this new setting and to offering genuine hospitality with a warm welcome and prices offering more value."
