The FINANCIAL — Baku – As part of Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze’s first official visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan, Georgian Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani met his Azerbaijani counterpart, Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov.
The two ministers spoke about important issues on the Georgia-Azerbaijan co-operation agenda and prospects for the strengthening of strategic partnership between the two countries.
Special note was taken of the role of Georgia and Azerbaijan in implementing the global transport and energy projects.
The sides emphasized that Georgian Prime Minister’s visit to Azerbaijan is a proof of friendship and good-neighbourly relations between the two countries. The two ministers also discussed the ways to implement the tasks outlined during the meeting between the Georgian Prime Minister and Azerbaijani President.
The Georgian delegation paid an official visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan on 30 August.
